In its ‘Building Capacity, Building Community’ election commitment, Labor undertook to “unlock additional support for organisations that lift the vulnerable, address disadvantage and enrich our communities”.
At the election and in the last Budget, Labor made commitments to the Australian charity sector. As of today, months later and with charities in overdrive to meet rapidly rising demand, there have been no further announcements on these promises.
